12063 Sr Project Coordinator - Future of Work and Employee Experience
About the position
This is a project leader role that manages and drives the successful and timely implementation of key ongoing Future of Work & Employee Experience projects and initiatives using best practice project management methods. This position will work across multiple groups including Future of Work, Employee Experience & Engagement, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Development. It involves designing project plans and coordinating, overseeing, and tracking project activities using project management tools, including Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and other project management technology. The role requires managing project milestone meetings, driving projects to completion while keeping relevant stakeholders informed, and performing substantive work in these areas to bring projects to closure. The Project Coordinator will also present project updates to senior leadership and lead the benchmarking function for the team.
Responsibilities
- Designs project plans for new projects and drives projects to completion using project management tools, including Microsoft Teams, Excel and other project management technology.
- Works across multiple stakeholders to ensure projects proceed in a timely manner and milestones are met, addressing challenges as they arise.
- Organizes project meetings, status reports and challenge sessions to ensure on time, on plan project management.
- Performs substantive work related to projects in several areas including Future of Work, Employee Experience & Engagement, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Development.
- Escalates challenges to schedule or project completion and regularly briefs HR leadership on project status.
- Creates and maintains best practices for effective project management and implements process improvements to maximize team productivity.
- Owns benchmarking function, utilizing various benchmarking resources to identify best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience with a bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field; 12 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with project management tools
- General knowledge of Human Resources functions
- Meticulous attention to detail; ability to proactively anticipate issues and complications to processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar; tact, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential information; initiative; and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to distill, interpret, and convey complicated processes; manage a high volume of work, including a variety of concurrent tasks; work independently with minimal supervision; remain flexible as situations demand without sacrificing quality of work; anticipate and act on the needs of direct managers and other stakeholders, taking action to address consequences, potential problems, or opportunities for change; and resolve problems in a thorough and timely manner
- Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
