This role will be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential threats to Rockstar’s Live Service titles as well as the organization at large. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of intelligence and investigations principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats.<br><br>This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.<br><br><strong>What We Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>The Rockstar Game Security team is responsible for protecting our players, employees, and intellectual property. </li><li>We support all Rockstar titles from malicious actors and insider threats. </li><li>We work closely with other teams to enforce, support, and improve security solutions. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Identify and prevent fraudulent or malicious behavior using open-source intelligence (OSINT), internal tools, and investigative methods. </li><li>Own complex investigations, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis from multiple systems. </li><li>Maintain intelligence on relevant subjects and emerging threats. </li><li>Ensure consistent, high-quality investigative reporting and intelligence outputs. </li><li>Support response efforts for security incidents and escalations as needed. </li><li>Drive process improvements, including automation and tooling to scale investigative workflows. </li><li>Develop and maintain reporting to measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making. </li><li>Stay current on emerging technologies, investigative techniques, and threat landscapes. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>8+ years professional experience in threat intelligence, investigations, or similar roles. </li><li>Strong expertise in intelligence gathering, monitoring, and investigative reporting. </li><li>Experience conducting complex investigations across digital platforms. </li><li>Proficiency with data analysis tools and systems (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, or similar). </li><li>Experience with link analysis methodologies and tools. </li><li>Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to investigations. </li><li>Background in threat intelligence, open-source intelligence or internal/external investigations preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with security assessment tools and monitoring systems. <br><br></li></ul><strong>PLUSES<br><br></strong>Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.<br><br><ul><li>Experience with Maltego, Hunchly, Splunk, case management platforms, and/or relational databases. </li><li>Experience working with online games, live services, or large-scale AAA multiplayer environments. </li><li>Strong analytical mind with problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams. </li><li>Mentoring mindset, sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices with peers. </li><li>Scripting skills (e.g. SQL, Python) for automation and analysis. </li><li>Basic level of fluency or above in languages other than English. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong><strong>HOW TO APPLY<br><br></strong>Please apply with a resume and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.<br><br>Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
