We are seeking Delivery Drivers (CDL Class A) to join our amazing Atlantic Tire Distributors team in Knoxville, TN. Summary:

As a CDL Driver for Atlantic Tire Distributor, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional driving skills and a commitment to safety regulations. The CDL driver in this position will be home at the end of each workday.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the competencies and/or ability required. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities; include but not limited to:

Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure they are in proper working condition and comply with safety regulations.
Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise during transit.
Complete required paperwork accurately and timely, including bills of lading, logbooks, and other transportation-related documents.
Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally and courteously when interacting with clients and the public.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, such as checking fluids, inspecting tires, and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
Handle emergencies and unexpected situations calmly and effectively, such as accidents, breakdowns, or adverse weather conditions, while prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including weight limits, permit requirements, and hours-of-service regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

CDL License: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A.
Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations, with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
