<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Inventory Coordinator</strong><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The Inventory Coordinator oversees and manages assigned inventories across multiple departments within a large distribution center. This role maintains accurate inventory records, performs regular counts, and ensures that tools and parts are readily available and properly organized for the maintenance team and other internal stakeholders.</p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Manage assigned inventories for different departments and ensure accurate stock levels at all times.</li><li>Conduct periodic inventory counts to verify quantities and reconcile physical inventory with system records.</li><li>Adjust inventory quantities, locations, and records as needed to correct discrepancies and maintain data integrity.</li><li>Identify and classify parts, including both electrical and mechanical components, to ensure proper organization and tracking.</li><li>Track parts usage to support maintenance activities and to anticipate replenishment needs.</li><li>Locate parts efficiently within the warehouse or tool cage area to support timely internal requests.</li><li>Create and maintain inventory logs that document movements, usage, adjustments, and counts.</li><li>Establish and update minimum and maximum quantity levels for tools and parts to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.</li><li>Separate and organize inventory by equipment manufacturer to simplify identification and retrieval.</li><li>Use scan-based methods and related tools to record inventory movements and update system information.</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory of tools within the cage area, ensuring items are available and in the correct location for the maintenance team.</li><li>Deliver tools and parts within the facility using carts or bikes when needed to support operations.</li><li>Operate sit-down forklifts, including gas or electric Hyster brand equipment, to move and handle materials as required.</li><li>Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Content Management Systems (CMS) and adapt to the specific system used at the facility.</li><li>Support shipping, receiving, and general material handling activities related to inventory control.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Proven experience in inventory control and inventory management within a warehouse or distribution environment.</li><li>Ability to conduct accurate inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in quantities, locations, and records.</li><li>Strong ability to identify and differentiate electrical and mechanical parts.</li><li>Experience tracking parts usage and maintaining detailed inventory logs.</li><li>Ability to create and manage minimum and maximum quantity levels for inventory items.</li><li>Competence in separating and organizing inventory by equipment manufacturer.</li><li>Comfort using scan-based methods and related inventory tracking tools.</li><li>Experience with warehouse inventory operations, including tool crib or cage environments.</li><li>Ability to operate a sit-down forklift, including gas or electric Hyster brand equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, and general warehouse operations.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience in an Inventory Coordinator or similar role within a large distribution center.</li><li>Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Content Management Systems (CMS), with willingness to train on the specific platform used.</li><li>Ability to use carts or bikes to deliver tools and parts across the facility when needed.</li><li>Background in tool crib operations and maintaining tool inventories for maintenance teams.</li><li>Adaptability to learn new systems, processes, and equipment as required by the facility.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>This opportunity offers a contract-to-hire path within a large, dynamic distribution environment, providing long-term stability and room to grow.
