They are seeking an NDT Technician responsible for inspecting materials and structures using non-destructive testing techniques to identify flaws and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute detailed inspections of structures and utility poles based on established safety guidelines, industry standards, and company protocols
- Evaluate the structural integrity, examining for signs of Corrosion, cracks, flaws, and other imperfections, calibration of equipment, and interpret results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, identifying potential hazards and recommending necessary actions for repair or replacement
- Accurately record inspection information into data collection application including taking pictures and attaching required information while outlining inspection results, highlighting critical issues, and providing recommendations for corrective measures
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to communicate inspection outcomes and support the implementation of recommended actions
- Contribute insights for the enhancement of inspection procedures, tools, or methodologies to optimize efficiency and accuracy
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or experience in a related field preferred
- Knowledge: Proficient understanding of utility poles and materials, corrosion, cracks, flaws, and safety standards
- Certifications: NDT Level 2 UT, NDT Level 2 MT and NDT Level 2 PT
- Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills

- Capable of performing fieldwork, utilizing NDT equipment
- Ability to travel a minimum of 75%
