Our stores are at the heart of Target — delivering an easy, inspiring, and friendly shopping experience powered by consistent operations and high-performing, engaged teams. Our Stores Experience Activation Plan is achieved through Strategic Initiatives, Key Enablers, and Foundational Work that empower Store Directors and teams with the capabilities, technology, and support needed to simplify operations, drive performance, and elevate guest experience every day.

About the Role:

As a Senior Business Partner in Store Operations, you will use your talents and experience to work independently while both supporting and leading projects that develop new capabilities and improve the systems, processes, and decision logic used to move inventory into stores. You will play a critical role in bringing the Stores Experience Activation Plan to life by ensuring store needs remain central to enterprise decisions about inventory, replenishment, and operational capability development.

You will support end to end initiatives that drive operational improvement in stores via updated processes, operational efficiencies, and elevated team member and guest experience. In order to accomplish this, you will collect data, insights and research to make a team strategy that is cohesive with the enterprise needs. You will work with clients in a proactive and supportive fashion while taking ownership of business challenges and solutions. You will represent Store Operations in enterprise cross-pyramid initiatives and ensure that store impact is communicated and understood. You will determine the approach to the work and be directed based on key objective check-ins.

Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of work experience in an operations environment preferably in retail
  • Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and work in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Developing skills to leverage AI/GenAI-enabled workflows to accelerate opportunity identification, prioritization, root-cause analysis, and operational responsiveness.
  • Stores experience at Target and/or inventory management operational strategy experience preferred

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
