Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) Medical Director, Telehealth

We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) to help lead a veterinary professional corporation focused on building a modern telehealth platform for cats and dogs.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a veterinary telehealth program from the ground up, combining convenient virtual care with innovative treatment options, including peptide-based therapies, wellness and longevity protocols, and other veterinarian-directed treatments where clinically appropriate and legally permitted.

The Role

As Medical Director, you’ll provide clinical leadership and help develop the medical infrastructure behind a rapidly scaling veterinary telehealth platform. You’ll work closely with our operations, technology, pharmacy, legal, and compliance teams to build a high-quality, compliant model of virtual veterinary care.

This is much more than a traditional clinical veterinarian position. We’re looking for someone interested in telehealth, entrepreneurship, emerging therapeutics, and building at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the clinical leader for the veterinary PC and telehealth operation
  • Establish clinical standards, treatment protocols, prescribing guidelines, and quality-of-care policies
  • Help develop appropriate protocols for peptides, medications, supplements, wellness, longevity, and other veterinary therapies
  • Oversee and help recruit a nationwide network of telehealth veterinarians
  • Ensure appropriate veterinarian-client-patient relationships (VCPRs) and compliance with applicable state veterinary and telemedicine requirements
  • Work with legal and compliance teams on state-by-state expansion and veterinary licensing requirements
  • Establish standards for patient eligibility, medical screening, contraindications, follow-up care, adverse-event management, and escalation to in-person veterinary care
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and fulfillment partners to create a seamless prescription and treatment experience
  • Help develop clinical education and training for veterinarians and the broader care team
  • Provide ongoing clinical oversight as the platform scales

What We’re Looking For

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary program
  • Active and unrestricted veterinary license in at least one U.S. state
  • Strong clinical experience treating dogs and cats
  • Excellent understanding of veterinary prescribing and standards of care
  • Interest in telemedicine and technology-enabled veterinary care
  • Comfort evaluating emerging and innovative therapies based on available clinical evidence
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to help build a new organization from the ground up

Highly desirable: Experience with multi-state veterinary practice, telehealth, pharmacy operations, clinical protocol development, medical-director responsibilities, or regulatory/compliance matters.

Why Join Us?

We’re building a new veterinary healthcare platform backed by an experienced team that has already built and scaled large consumer healthcare and telehealth operations.

You’ll have the opportunity to become one of the foundational clinical leaders of the company and have a meaningful voice in how the platform, medical programs, provider network, and patient experience are built.
