Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison – Rheumatology

Job Description:

  • Execute strategies and tactics for Biogen’s Rheumatology Franchise across its immunology portfolio
  • Build, implement, and execute field-based tactics supporting educational goals and appropriate product therapy use
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution of advisory boards
  • Capture insights from targeted customers through one-to-one meetings, roundtables, and congress activities
  • Serve on cross-functional brand sub-teams and provide internal and external customer perspective
  • Provide competitive intelligence from targeted customer meetings
  • Partner with headquarters to develop promotional content and presentation materials
  • Manage vendor work, including medical education agencies and meeting services
  • Identify and recruit key medical experts for content development and promotional projects
  • Serve as the key medical expert point of contact for international opportunities
  • Develop and support congress plans, industry symposia, and HCP engagement strategies
  • Coordinate executive engagement meetings with key medical experts
  • Work with Program Operations to manage Speaker’s Bureau requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech product marketing/commercial experience required
  • Rheumatology or immunology injectable drug experience required
  • Previous field marketing or related functional experience in marketing, sales or an allied function preferred
  • Proven ability to drive results in a challenging and ambiguous market
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record according to Biogen policy
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%
