The Evening Specimen Processor – Data Entry – Part‑Time position is a critical link in the patient care continuum. By accurately receiving, routing, and documenting laboratory specimens, you help clinicians obtain the timely results they need to make life‑saving decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Specimen Reception & Routing: Verify incoming specimens, ensure proper labeling, and direct them to the appropriate testing modules in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Data Entry & Verification: Accurately input laboratory requests into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), double‑check test orders for completeness, and flag any discrepancies for corrective action.
  • Quality & Compliance Champion: Uphold arenaflex’s rigorous quality standards by performing routine checks, adhering to biosafety protocols, and maintaining meticulous documentation.
  • Safety Stewardship: Work safely in a laboratory environment with biological hazards, consistently using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following infection control guidelines.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable).

  • Proficient typing skills, including experience with a 10‑key numeric keypad, and a demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy under time pressure.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, third‑shift environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory terminology and the ability to quickly learn arenaflex’s LIS platform.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

  • Two or more years of hands‑on laboratory training or experience in specimen collection, processing, or related functions.
  • Prior data‑entry experience within a production or high‑throughput environment, especially in a healthcare or diagnostics setting.
  • Familiarity with biosafety level 2 (BSL‑2) protocols and the proper use of PPE.
  • Experience working remotely or in a hybrid model, demonstrating self‑discipline and reliable communication skills.
