Lead Executive Interpreter/Executive Support Manager

About Snail Games USA

Snail Games USA is a global developer and publisher of interactive entertainment. Our executives, teams, partners, and business activities span the United States, China, and other international markets. Clear communication, timely execution, and culturally accurate interpretation are essential to our daily operations.

Position Overview

Snail Games USA is seeking a Lead Executive Interpreter and Executive Support Manager to serve as the principal Mandarin/English interpreter and executive support partner to the Company's Founder and Chief Executive Officer. The CEO is closely involved in detailed, hands-on business operations and relies on timely, precise communication with English speaking executives, employees, professional advisers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Professional interpretation and translation excellence is the foundation of this position. The successful candidate must be able to interpret complex executive discussions seamlessly and translate contracts, emails, reports, presentations, and other business documents accurately, preserving meaning, tone, context, and cultural nuance.

The position also provides intensive executive and secretarial support. The Manager will organize the CEO's schedules and meetings, coordinate with multiple departments, prepare information for his review, document decisions, track assignments, and ensure that follow up is completed. The role requires understanding the purpose behind each communication and helping convert executive direction into organized action, rather than translating words alone.

In addition, this position leads the existing interpreter and executive support team. The Manager will coordinate team priorities, allocate work, maintain interpretation and translation quality, ensure dependable executive coverage, and improve the workflows surrounding the CEO. The ideal candidate combines professional interpreter training with executive judgment, operational discipline, discretion, and demonstrated experience leading people and concurrent workstreams.

Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Interpretation and Translation
  • Serve as the CEO’s principal Mandarin English interpreter during executive meetings, private discussions, conference calls, interviews, negotiations, presentations, and daily operational work.

  • Deliver consecutive and, when appropriate, simultaneous interpretation with accuracy, fluency, appropriate tone, and minimal disruption to the business discussion.

  • Translate and prepare contracts, emails, reports, presentations, policies, correspondence, meeting materials, and other business documents for executive review.

  • Accurately convey specialized business, legal, financial, technical, gaming, and operational concepts while preserving intent, context, and cultural nuance.

  • Review and edit translations prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, terminology control, and professional quality.

  • Maintain bilingual terminology, reference materials, and document standards for recurring business subjects and executive communications.

  • Identify ambiguity, missing context, or potential misunderstanding and obtain clarification before information is presented as final.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding executive discussions, contracts, personnel matters, strategy, and other sensitive information.

Dedicated Executive and Secretarial Support
  • Manage and coordinate the CEO’s business calendar, meetings, priorities, and rapidly changing daily schedule.

  • Communicate with departments and participants to arrange meetings, confirm objectives and attendance, and ensure that necessary materials are prepared in advance.

  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, summaries, presentations, correspondence, and background information for executive review.

  • Attend meetings as interpreter and executive support partner, record decisions and assignments, and circulate accurate follow up when requested.

  • Track action items, deadlines, commitments, and requests across multiple departments and ensure that responsible parties provide timely updates.

  • Anticipate information, scheduling, document, and coordination needs arising from the CEO’s hands-on involvement in the business.

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, executive visits, board activities, company events, and related logistics when required.

  • Support special projects, research, operational initiatives, and time sensitive priorities assigned by the CEO or executive leadership.

Interpreter and Executive Support Team Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate the three person interpreter and executive support team serving the CEO.

  • Set daily priorities, assign translation and support work, manage workloads, and maintain clear ownership of every active request.

  • Ensure continuous and appropriate executive coverage for meetings, documents, communications, travel, and urgent matters.

  • Establish and maintain standards for interpretation quality, written translation, document preparation, confidentiality, responsiveness, and follow through.

  • Review team output, provide constructive feedback, coach team members, and support continued professional development.

  • Create cross training and backup procedures so that critical work continues without interruption when a team member is unavailable.

  • Maintain an organized system for incoming requests, priorities, deadlines, meeting follow ups, and completed work.

  • Identify bottlenecks and improve workflows so that information and decisions move efficiently between the CEO and the organization.

Cross Functional and International Coordination
  • Serve as a trusted communication bridge between the CEO and English speaking executives, departments, advisers, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate closely with Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Operations, Publishing, Development, and other teams on executive priorities.

  • Facilitate communication with international offices and visitors and help resolve cultural or contextual misunderstandings before they affect execution.

  • Support localization and bilingual communication for gaming, technology, entertainment, and digital media matters when relevant to executive priorities.

  • Perform additional executive support, interpretation, translation, and special project duties as business needs require.

Required Qualifications
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with exceptional spoken and written command of both languages.

  • Demonstrated professional experience interpreting complex executive or business discussions and translating high consequence business documents.

  • Ability to interpret accurately in real time while preserving meaning, tone, intent, confidentiality, and cultural nuance.

  • Experience supporting a founder, chief executive officer, C level executive, or similarly senior and highly involved business leader.

  • Experience leading, coordinating, mentoring, or managing an interpreter, administrative, executive support, or comparable service team.

  • Proven ability to manage several simultaneous workflows, establish priorities, delegate work, and ensure reliable follow through.

  • Exceptional discretion, judgment, emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and composure under pressure.

  • Strong business writing, meeting preparation, document organization, research, and executive communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, virtual meeting platforms, and modern collaboration tools.

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and valid passport or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate level training in conference interpretation, translation, or a closely related discipline. Training from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey or a comparably rigorous professional program is strongly preferred.

  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in professional interpretation, translation, executive support, executive operations, or a closely related field.

  • Experience interpreting for senior executives in negotiations, board or investor discussions, legal or contractual reviews, operational meetings, or international business settings.

  • Experience reviewing the work of other interpreters or translators and maintaining shared terminology and quality standards.

  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, technology, digital media, or international business.

Work Requirements
  • Full time, on site work in Beverly Hills, California.

  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours to support urgent executive needs, international teams, travel schedules, and time zone differences.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally when business needs require.

  • Ability to work closely and intensively with a hands-on executive while remaining composed, organized, accurate, and responsive.

Success in This Position

Success means that the CEO can communicate and operate across languages without friction; that meetings, documents, decisions, and follow up are handled accurately and on time; and that the interpreter and executive support team works as one coordinated unit. The Manager must be trusted not only to translate what is said, but also to understand the business purpose, protect sensitive information, organize execution, and make sure that important matters do not fall through the cracks.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Retirement: 401(k) with company contributions.

  • Paid Time Off: PTO, sick leave, and paid holidays.

  • Professional Development: Access to relevant training, workshops, and conferences.

Additional Information

As part of the Company's activities in video game development, publishing, and short form video content creation, certain projects, discussions, or creative materials may include themes, visuals, language, or subject matter that some individuals could find mature, violent, sexual, graphic, or otherwise sensitive. Employees are expected to engage with such material in a professional and creative context as part of their job responsibilities.
