The National Supplier Performance Manager is responsible for managing our core suppliers’ business planning and performance, and maintaining a healthy financial position for Johnson Brothers, while working as a conduit between the supplier and our branches across the U.S.<br><br><strong>Job Description:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Oversee Supplier(s) Planning Process:</li><li>Develop tactical overlays to cluster/brand strategy</li><li>Engage Johnson Brothers Leadership during process</li><li>Plan / execute against suggested pricing strategies</li><li>Build target account lists for identified activities</li><li>Plan effective use of POS</li><li>Develop market execution plan</li><li>Including measurable goals by geography, channel, customer, and brand</li><li>Integrate plan to drive Transformational Priorities</li><li>Include brand training where appropriate<br><br></li></ul>Other Duties:<br><br><ul><li>Plan activity/goals against achieving brand standards</li><li>Lead planning of national/local POS buys with Supplier(s)</li><li>Follow Supplier(s) lead on innovation planning within assigned brands including programming, goal setting, inventory management, selling tools, kickoff meeting, training, tracking, etc.</li><li>Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio priorities and key execution metrics by channel, geography, customer and brand across entire selling Johnson Brothers Network to achieve internal alignment</li><li>Manage Budgets: Grant/Tactical/Trade $’s/Discounts/LMF</li><li>Identify and propose solutions to competitive pricing opportunities / challenges</li><li>Incorporate “best practices” and other market learning’s across the Network</li><li>Develop and plan against creative selling opportunities</li><li>In depth analysis of activities by channel, geography, customer and brand</li><li>Scorecard Performance across Johnson Brothers Network</li><li>Measure and update against execution plan and continually identify strategic gaps in plan</li><li>Measure monthly progress against achieving brand standards and goals across network</li><li>Manage Supplier(s) scorecard against innovation, on premise & other KPI’s</li><li>Develop business analysis for key accounts</li><li>Use internal tracking of goals including displays, feature ads, pricing, distribution, visibility, accounts sold, menus, drink features, etc. to deliver above</li><li>Lead on identified Investment Activities</li><li>Locally created POS / tactical spends / pricing</li><li>Assist Supplier(s) in management of supplier(s) programming</li><li>National POS / sampling / local media / etc.</li><li>Monitor and recap against pricing strategies / programs</li><li>Assess Supplier(s), Brand and Category health using syndicated data; including Nielsen, IRI, DISCUS, Etc.</li><li>Overall Management of profitability for Supplier and Distributor alike</li><li>Assess and monitor spend against budgets to identify risk and/or opportunities</li><li>Run standard and other reports for business needs</li><li>Coordinate mid-month and end of month business reviews across channels with Supplier(s) Leadership</li><li>Coordinate quarterly business reviews and planning meetings with Supplier(s) Leadership</li><li>Collaborates with Supplier to build comprehensive training programs, designed to educate an enhance Johnson Brothers Sales personnel capabilities</li><li>Works in conjunction with the Corporate Training Platform</li><li>Ensures all Supplier and Johnson Brothers Corporate Compliance measures are in place and being followed pertaining to designated portfolio(s)</li><li>Work with the Purchasing Department to ensure contractual obligations and asks are being adhered to</li><li>In conjunction, maintaining healthy Inventory levels for internal purposes</li><li>Oversight to Branch forecasting using Logility</li><li>Develops influential relationships with local market sales leaders, including Regional Presidents, GM’s, Sales Managers, Brand Managers, Etc.</li><li>Plans and Executes Market Surveys upon Supplier(s) desired cadence across Johnson Brothers Network<br><br></li></ul>Preferred Requirements:<br><br><ul><li>4 Year Degree</li><li>People management experience</li><li>Brand/Supplier management experience</li><li>Experience in Beverage Alcohol Industry</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills & comfortable communicating with all levels, including Senior Level Leadership</li><li>Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail with a high sense of urgency, initiative & proactive planning</li><li>Ability to think critically & solve problems</li><li>Capable of leading change</li><li>Strong presentation skills & ability to guide business conversations</li><li>Data & Fact-driven ways of working</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, specifically Excel & PowerPoint<br><br></li></ul>The expected pay range for this role is $75,582 - $125,610. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
