Part-Time Google & Meta Ads Assistant

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Google and Meta Ads Assistant to provide ongoing support across multiple client advertising accounts.

This is a part-time execution and maintenance role. Our team will provide campaign strategy, budgets, creative assets, messaging, and weekly priorities. You will help build campaigns, complete updates, monitor account activity, and ensure assigned advertising tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Work will be assigned weekly based on current client needs. The accounts and priorities may change from week to week, so the ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable moving between different campaigns and businesses.

This is not a client-facing or full-service advertising strategist position.

Responsibilities

  • Build and launch campaigns in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager using provided instructions.
  • Upload approved ad copy, images, videos, keywords, audiences, and other campaign assets.
  • Complete routine campaign maintenance, including:
  • Adjusting approved budgets
  • Pausing or activating campaigns and ads
  • Updating dates, offers, links, and creative assets
  • Duplicating campaigns, ad groups, or ad sets
  • Adding approved keywords and negative keywords
  • Monitor campaign spending, delivery, and basic performance metrics.
  • Identify and report issues such as:
  • Disapproved ads
  • Unexpected changes in spending
  • Broken or incorrect links
  • Tracking concerns
  • Campaigns that are not delivering
  • Significant changes in performance
  • Conduct quality-assurance checks before campaigns launch.
  • Pull reports and update shared tracking documents.
  • Maintain organized campaign names, files, and account information.
  • Provide clear updates when tasks are completed, delayed, or awaiting approval.
  • Communicate when assigned work may exceed the remaining monthly hours.

How the Position Works

Our team will provide a prioritized list of advertising tasks each week. Assignments may involve different Google Ads or Meta accounts depending on current campaigns, promotions, and client needs.

The contractor will be expected to:

  • Review and acknowledge assigned tasks.
  • Complete work in order of priority.
  • Ask questions when instructions or account details are unclear.
  • Track time and monitor the remaining monthly capacity.
  • Receive approval before exceeding the agreed monthly hours.
  • Avoid making significant strategic or budget changes without authorization.

Work can generally be completed on a flexible schedule. However, some campaign updates may be time-sensitive and require a response within one business day.

What Our Team Will Handle

  • Overall advertising strategy
  • Campaign objectives and direction
  • Client communication and meetings
  • Offer development and positioning
  • Creative direction and graphic design
  • Budget allocation and major scaling decisions
  • Landing-page strategy
  • Final approval of major account changes
  • Overall performance oversight

Qualifications

  • At least one year of hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or both.
  • Experience building or maintaining paid digital advertising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with campaigns, ad groups, ad sets, keywords, audiences, budgets, and performance reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Clear, reliable, and proactive communication.
  • Ability to manage recurring assignments with limited supervision.
  • Comfortable working inside multiple client advertising accounts.
  • Comfortable using Google Sheets, Google Drive, and shared project-management tools.
  • Ability to recognize and flag potential campaign issues before making major changes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting local service businesses.
  • Experience with lead-generation campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads conversion tracking, call tracking, pixels, and Meta Pixel.
  • Familiarity with Google Search, Performance Max, Display, and Meta lead-generation campaigns.
  • Google Ads or Meta certifications.

Certifications are helpful but not required. Demonstrated hands-on experience is more important.

Compensation and Scope

This is an independent contractor position paying $500–$750 per month, depending on experience and the agreed monthly time commitment.

The monthly agreement is expected to include approximately 8–12 hours of routine campaign support. Unused hours will not roll over unless otherwise agreed.

The regular monthly scope includes campaign execution, monitoring, maintenance, quality checks, and basic reporting.

The following are not included in the regular scope unless discussed and approved separately:

  • Complete account rebuilds or extensive restructures
  • Full advertising strategy development
  • Landing-page creation
  • Graphic design or video editing
  • Extensive copywriting
