A Consumer Underwriter – Auto Finance evaluates, negotiates, and decisions consumer offerings within Ally’s underwriting policies to further grow application and contract volume. They build and maintain a portfolio of dealers and provide best-in-class relationship management for their assigned territories as a crucial part of the Ally Auto framework.<br><br><strong>The Work Itself<br><br></strong><ul><li>Increase dealer portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and upholding Ally’s risk management principles</li><li>Leverage high-touch and high-tech capabilities to negotiate contracts</li><li>Demonstrate market awareness, strong listening, and adaptability as you build and cultivate strong relationships with dealers</li><li>Requires flexibility in work schedule; evening hours, limited travel, and weekends required<br><br></li></ul><strong>The Qualifications We’re Looking For<br><br></strong><ul><li>1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime), or financial services is required</li><li>Ability to perform technical based activities</li><li>Knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.</li><li>Demonstrating technical expertise and relationships to supply to strategy and drive business results</li><li>Familiar with the Auto Finance industry, consumer credit, trend analysis/analytics</li><li>Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills</li><li>Must be an independent worker with strong time leadership skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>1+ years of experience</li><li>High school Diploma or GED equivalent<br><br></li></ul><strong>How We'll Have Your Back<br><br></strong>Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
