Job Responsibilities and Compensation

Flight Attendant – Salary: $20–30/hour. Company: DeltaAirlines. Location: LasVegas,USA. Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree.

Job Overview

Delta Airlines operates a global network with a fleet of aircraft servicing 306 locations in 52 countries. Flight Attendants are key customer‑facing staff who provide safety and service to millions of passengers daily.

Key Duties

  • Ensure passenger safety and comfort, offering top‑notch customer service at all times.
  • Assist with loading and stowing baggage into overhead bins and provide assistance to passengers when needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and emergency systems and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Prepare, serve, and sell drinks (including alcohol) and meals, including varieties such as red meat, beef, seafood, and peanuts.
  • Answer questions and provide assistance to passengers, especially those with special needs.
  • Proactively maintain safety and comfort during delays or turbulence.
  • Administer and coordinate emergency procedures or provide emergency care (e.g., CPR and first aid) when required.
  • Respond to and provide clear instructions to passengers during emergencies.
  • Make decisions to resolve incidents in line with Delta policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Work independently and as part of a crew to achieve tasks.
  • Meet deadlines, manage changing priorities, and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exercise safety‑aware behaviors in all operational activities.

Schedule and Benefits

Flight Attendants perform shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. The compensation package is competitive and includes health and dental coverage, 401(k) with employer match, a profit‑sharing program, international travel privileges, and a sick‑leave policy.

All new hires complete a six‑week training program at Delta’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA, receiving a stipend, meals, and lodging if not within two hours of the training facility.

Qualification Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Minimum age 21.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent high school diploma/ GED.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Valid passport with at least 30 months validity beyond first day of training; non‑US passport holders must provide proof of ability to enter the U.S. without restrictions.
  • Completed DOT drug and comprehensive background check.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift – including operating beverage/meal carts, opening/closing emergency exits, and carrying luggage into overhead bins up to 40‑inch height.
  • Capacity to open and close emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 60kg; ability to lift or push food/beverage carts with 32lb force.
  • Commitment to safety and privacy of non‑public information.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments, adapt to changing demands, and support crew.
  • Flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and possibly extended shifts.
  • Willingness to accept a base assignment after training; flexibility to relocate or travel for standby tours.
  • COVID‑19 vaccination status available or willingness to obtain vaccination as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer‑service role similar to flight attendant duties.
  • Post‑secondary education beyond the bachelor’s degree is preferred.
