Remote Inventory Planner Demand Forecasting

Bloom is a full-service workplace design consultancy, supporting Poppy & Peonies in hiring an Inventory Planner to join their team. As Talent Advisors, we serve as the connection between our Bloom partner and you throughout the hiring process. At Bloom, we don’t rely on automated tools to scan resumes—every application is reviewed by a person to ensure a consistent, fair interview experience. If you’re selected as the successful candidate, you’ll join our client’s team directly. We look forward to receiving your application!

Hi, I’m Natalie Dusome, Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies.

At Poppy & Peonies, we’re a fun, high-energy brand that believes style and function should always go hand in hand. We create practical products designed to make everyday life easier—and feel lighter, literally.

Launching Poppy & Peonies has been an incredible journey. It started when my daughter Poppy was born, and I realized my accessories no longer suited my new life as a mom. I wanted bags with pockets and smart organization that looked great—but also worked in a truly practical way. When I couldn’t find what I needed, I decided to make it myself. That’s how Poppy & Peonies began in 2015.

Since then, we’ve grown from packing orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now we’re expanding into new product categories while collaborating with exciting influencers and brands. It hasn’t always been easy, but thanks to our incredible community, we’ve never felt more supported or appreciated.

We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and are committed to protecting both the planet and the animals that live on it. That’s why all of our bags are made with high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan and cruelty-free, with PETA approval. We ship plastic-free and use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to help reduce shipping waste. We’re always looking for ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable and lower our carbon footprint.

In the Inventory Planner role, you’ll lead forecasting, planning, and inventory strategy to ensure our most-loved products are available when customers want them. You’ll work closely with leadership to forecast demand, anticipate growth, and develop inventory plans that support both product launches and viral moments across multiple sales channels.

As Poppy & Peonies continues to grow across North America—especially with strong expansion in the U.S., new warehouse locations, and new channels like TikTok Shop—your role will be key to ensuring the right products are available in the right quantities, in the right locations, and on the right platforms.

A central focus of this position is market-specific inventory planning, particularly across Canada and the U.S., to ensure inventory decisions reflect regional demand, customer behavior, and channel performance.

This role is a great match if you enjoy turning data into strategy and thrive in a fast-growing consumer brand where demand can change quickly.

Does this sound like you?
– Are you passionate about demand planning and forecasting?
– Do you enjoy building models that help businesses grow with confidence?
– Do you work well in environments where data, strategy, and operations come together?

If you answered yes to all three, we’d love to hear from you!

The Opportunity:
– Own demand forecasting and inventory planning for all products, markets, and sales channels.
– Create and implement market-specific inventory strategies, with a focus on U.S. allocation to support ongoing growth and expansion.
– Build and maintain forecasting models using historical sales, seasonal trends, and marketing insights.
– Plan and allocate inventory across multiple warehouses and regions to improve product availability, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
– Collaborate with marketing, growth, and social teams to anticipate demand spikes driven by campaigns, influencers, and viral trends—especially on emerging channels like TikTok Shop.
– Manage inventory planning across multiple distribution channels, including e-commerce (Shopify), social commerce platforms, and future channel expansions.
– Track inventory KPIs and share insights with leadership to support decision-making.
– Support product launches and ensure key SKUs remain in stock during high-demand periods.
– Find opportunities to improve inventory management and planning processes.

What You Bring to the Table:
– 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or supply chain operations across Canada and U.S. markets.
– Experience in e-commerce or consumer brands, ideally with exposure to multiple sales environments (including Shopify and TikTok Shop).
– Demonstrated experience planning or buying inventory across multiple markets, with a strong understanding of how regional demand patterns and customer behavior differ.
– Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and forecasting models.
– Ability to recognize trends and adjust plans proactively.
– Excellent attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
– A collaborative mindset and comfort working across marketing, operations, and finance teams.
– Experience with Shopify-based businesses or multi-warehouse operations is a plus.

If you don’t meet every requirement listed, don’t worry—we value growth and curiosity. If you have some of these strengths and are excited about this opportunity, we still want to hear from from you!

$80,000–$100,000 per year

The Recruitment Process:
1. Video screening with Niamh, Talent Advisor at Bloom.
2. Video interviews with Natalie Bates (VP of Finance) and Erica (HR Advisor).
3. Take-home assignment.
4. Video interview with Natalie Dusome (Founder + CEO of Poppy & Peonies).
5. Reference checks.
6. Offer.

Total Rewards:
– Annual salary range: $80,000–$100,000 CAD
– 3 weeks of paid vacation per year
– 5 additional flex days
– $1,500 CAD annual health spending account
– $250 CAD annual period & menstrual budget
– $1,000 CAD annual allowance toward Poppy & Peonies products
– $400 CAD annual home office setup allowance

Location:
We’re a fully remote team across North America. This is a fully remote position, though there may be occasional domestic or international travel for team gatherings and events.

Like Bloom, Poppy & Peonies is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, or any other protected status.
