Trade Desk Associate (Miami Beach, FL - USA) - 21952

Trade Desk Associate, Miami Beach (Series 7 Track)

Job Title

Trade Desk Associate, Miami Beach (Series 7 Track)

Location / Employment Details

Location: In office, Miami Beach, FL.

Schedule: Full-time, U.S. core trading hours, roughly 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday.

Level: Entry level. Recent graduates are welcome.

Reports to: Head of the trading desk (to be confirmed).

Team: You'll sit on the trading desk alongside experienced traders and associates in Miami and New York. You'll also work with a follow-the-sun team that covers the early-morning and evening sessions.

Start: Immediate. Licensed duties begin once the Series 7 is passed (see Required Qualifications).

About The Company

We are a rapidly growing U.S.-based, FINRA-registered broker-dealer. We execute stock and options trades for both institutional and retail clients.

We run a lean, experienced trading desk backed by our own in-house trading technology. Our team monitors live order flow, risk, and client accounts on systems we build and control. Trading volume and our client base are growing fast, and as U.S. markets move toward near round-the-clock trading, we're extending our hours to 23 hours a day, five days a week.

About The Role

Our volume is growing faster than our desk, and we need another sharp person in the seat during core U.S. hours. Our first in-office associate came to us straight out of a strong university program and has been a great fit. We're looking for another person like that.

You'll sit in front of the screens with our traders, watching live order flow, risk, and client accounts as the trading day unfolds. When something looks wrong, you'll be one of the first to see it and help fix it. Once you're licensed, you'll speak with clients directly about their orders and accounts. You'll also be the hand-off point for our early-morning and evening coverage teams, so nothing falls through the cracks between shifts.

You don't need to know how to pick stocks. You need to understand what an order is, what happens to it as it moves through our systems, and how to solve a problem calmly when the market is moving fast. We'll train you on our systems while you study for your Series 7.

This is a starting seat, not a ceiling. As you grow, there's a clear path into client relationships and sales.

Key Responsibilities

Real-Time Order Flow & Risk Monitoring

Monitor live order flow, positions, and risk limits across our trading and risk systems throughout the U.S. trading day.

Spot rejected, stuck, or unusual orders and risk alerts, then act or escalate according to desk procedures.

Stay composed and methodical when markets move fast and traders need answers right away.

Keep an eye on system health through the busiest moments of the day, including the U.S. open and close.

Client Support (once licensed)

Answer institutional and retail client questions about orders, executions, and account status by phone and through approved channels such as Slack and WhatsApp.

Communicate clearly, accurately, and within regulatory rules. Every client conversation is recorded and reviewed.

Route issues you can't resolve to the right person on the desk, compliance, or technology team, and follow them through.

Account & Onboarding Operations

Monitor our onboarding and account systems and help new client accounts move through each step.

Flag incomplete, inconsistent, or unusual account activity for review.

Shift Handoffs & Team Coordination

Receive the morning handoff from our overnight team and run the afternoon handoff to our evening team, covering open issues, live risk, and client follow-ups.

Keep a clear log of incidents, escalations, and actions taken.

Help train and support newer associates as the desk grows, including our remote coverage team.

Licensing & Compliance

Pass the SIE and Series 7 exams under firm sponsorship within your first month, plus any additional licenses our compliance team requires (such as the Series 63).

Follow our written supervisory procedures and use only firm-approved, recorded communication channels.

Client Relationships (as you grow)

Over time, support client relationship and sales efforts, including outreach to active and prospective traders, as your responsibilities expand.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a strong university program, completed or completing by your start date.

Ability and commitment to pass the SIE and Series 7 exams within 30 days of starting, with study time supported by the firm. You do not need to hold these licenses today, but licensed duties can't begin until you pass.

Eligibility for FINRA registration, including a clean background check and fingerprinting.

Strong logical and quantitative problem-solving. You enjoy working through a puzzle methodically and you're comfortable with numbers.

Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to speak with clients directly.

Composure under pressure, so you can stay clear-headed when a trader needs an answer now.

Ability to pick up internal systems quickly and follow detailed procedures precisely.

Authorization to work in the U.S., and willingness to work in our Miami Beach office full-time from an early-morning start.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, or another quantitative field.

Internship experience at a broker-dealer, trading firm, fintech, or another fast-paced operations or technical environment.

Already holds the SIE, or has passed other demanding professional or academic exams.

Working knowledge of the order lifecycle (order types, routing, fills, cancels) and the basics of stocks and options.

Comfort with Excel; familiarity with SQL or scripting is a plus.

Genuine curiosity about how markets and trading systems work.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You Are

A problem-solver first. You want to know how a system works and why it broke, more than where the market is headed.

Calm when it counts. A fast market or an urgent client sharpens your focus instead of rattling you.

Precise. You read the alert twice, double-check the order, and write down what you did.

Straightforward and ethical. You're comfortable in a fully recorded environment and you'd rather say "let me confirm" than guess.

Energized by a trading floor. You like being in the room, learning from experienced traders, and owning real responsibility early.

Ambitious about the long game. You see the Series 7 as the start of a career in U.S. capital markets, with a path toward client relationships.

Why Join Us

A licensed career in U.S. markets. We sponsor your SIE and Series 7, which are credentials that open doors across the industry.

Real responsibility from day one. You'll sit on a live trading desk, not in a rotational program.

A clear path to grow. Strong associates move into client relationship and sales responsibilities, with performance-based pay.

Learn from the people who built it. You'll work directly with our traders and the team behind our in-house trading technology.

Be part of what's next. You'll be on the desk as U.S. equity trading moves to a near round-the-clock week.
