Performs related work as required.</p><p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;"> </p><p style="margin:0in;text-align:justify;">Water Bureau - Maintains and repairs a wide variety of water plant and distribution equipment, including, but not limited to, water pressure operating valves, diaphragms, chlorinators, elevation gauges, meters, chemical feeders, motors, sludge pumps, chlorine lines, evaporators, generators, SCADA instrumentation and controls, and other water treatment plant processing and associated equipment. Drives to various locations to inspect and service equipment. Performs general maintenance on lift stations, elevated tanks, standpipes, reservoirs, and auxiliary equipment. Accesses, enters, and updates work orders into a computerized maintenance management system. Performs general maintenance on pump station backup generator. Provides advice to subordinates on difficult repairs. Performs related work as required.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;">Graduation from an accredited high school or GED and a minimum of three years of paid experience in the maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment plant, sewer collection, drinking water treatment, or water distribution equipment, or an equivalent combination of paid experience and training. THE EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT MEANS THAT YOU MAY SUBSTITUTE UP TO 50% OF PAID EXPERIENCE WITH RELATED TRAINING.
